Prvi glavni gost večera bo Chunky – hiperproduktivni MC/DJ/producent iz Manchestera, čigar glas že več kot desetletje bogati zvok elektronske glasbe britanskega podtalja. Kot MC ima izjemno karizmo in brezhibno sposobnost pisanja besedil. Je redni gost dogodkov Swamp 81, Hessle Audio, HOYA:HOYA in Hit & Run, kjer je večkrat nastopal z izvajalci kot so Loefah, Zed Bias, Dub Phizix, Biome, Chimpo, Pearson Sound in Jonny Dub. Kot rimoklepač in producent se giblje v vodah hip hopa in grime-a, ni pa mu tuj tud drum & bass in odvodi techno žanra. Chunky je ponosni Mancunijec zimbabvejskih korenin, kar pojasni njegov odprt, razigran pogled na življenje. Ima redko sposobnost, da razgiba prav vsako občinstvo, pri čemer suvereno prehaja od najnovejših, basovsko nabitih komadov do funka in jazz klasik.
V peak-tajmu se mu bo pridružila Yungfya – članica kolektiva Femme Bass Mafia in rezidentka Aaja Music prebivajoča v Berlinu, ki je v preteklosti oder delila z imeni kot so Calibre, Kode-9 in Neffa-T ter nastopila na festivalih kot so Berlin Atonal, Outlook in CTM. Njene glasbene selecije so zelo raznolike, a vedno udarne in surove. Njen podpisni slog predstavlja mešanico zvokov britanskega podtalja z ritmičnimi vplivi njenih južnoazijskih in bližnjevzhodnih korenin.
Pridružila se jima bosta še dva prvaka lokalne underground scene: lowcase – selektor in producent iz Slovenskih Konjic, znan po kvalitetnem 140 BPM naboru, član kolektivov Gonobeats in DeepEnd, z izdajami pri založbah Duploc, 9rabmos in DeepEnd; ter Douchean – Domači didžej in producent iz Kranja, zavzet privrženec umazanih distorziranih sintetizatorjev in razbijaških ritmov, ki vodi DE/FRAGMENT, lokalno neodvisno založbo in serijo dogodkov posvečeno nekonvencionalni elektronski glasbi.

The ninth edition of Echo0000 will take place on July 4th in KUD Channel Zero!
The first headliner of the night will be Chunky, the hardest working MC/DJ/Producer in the musical metropolis that is Manchester, whose voice has been the sound of the UK underground for more than a decade. As an MC, he’s a magnetic presence with an immaculate pen game. His catchy turns of phrase made him a standout fixture at Swamp 81, Hessle Audio, HOYA:HOYA and Hit & Run parties, forming a symbiotic partnership with affiliates such as Loefah, Zed Bias, Dub Phizix, Biome, Chimpo, Pearson Sound and Jonny Dub. As rapper and producer, he’s a multi-headed hydra chomping into hip hop and grime with the same ease as drum ‘n’ bass and leftfield techno. Chunky is a proud Mancunian with roots in Zimbabwe, which may explain such a worldly, open-minded outlook on life. On stage, this translates into a rare ability to work any crowd into a frenzy, whilst handling everything from the latest, bass-heavy cuts to live jazz with consummate ease.
Joining him in the peak time of the night will be Yungfya, the Femme Bass Mafia member & Aaja Music resident based in Berlin, who’s shared booth with the likes of Calibre, Kode-9 & Neffa-T and showcased performances at Berlin Atonal, Outlook and CTM festival. She carves a path through the underground with seismic selections that hit hard and cut deep. Sonically varied, yet primal as ever, her highly percussive, bass heavy sound is an ode to her UK roots, with rhythmic influences from her mixed South-Asian x Middle-Eastern heritage.
They’ll be joined by two champions of our local underground. Lowcase – a 140 focused selector and producer from Slovenske Konjice, part of the Gonobeats and DeepEnd crews with releases out on Duploc, 9rabmos and DeepEnd; Douchean – an an ambassador of dirty distorted synths and pounding kicks running DE/FRAGMENT, a local independent label and event series focused in leftfield electronic music.
