Sami Galbi (CH/MA)

Z njim raziskuje živahno ljudsko tradicijo njegove rodne Tunizije.

Sami Galbi (CH/MA)
Swiss-Moroccan multi-instrumentalist and producer Sami Galbi found his creative home in Lausanne, where he quickly became an essential figure in the Swiss alternative scene. Drawing inspiration from parallel musical worlds, he has developed a sound that is distinctly his own.
His work moves fluidly between North African raï and chaâbi and the electronic rhythms and textures that shaped his upbringing, blending them into a cohesive and personal sonic language. His influences also extend to American hip-hop, house, and Afro-Caribbean dance music, all of which inform his forward-looking approach to production.

AMMAR 808 (TN)

This year’s festival closes with an artist who has been on our wishlist since his debut Maghreb United in 2018. The wait, it turns out, only sharpened the moment — the perfect way to end this year’s Druga godba is inside Tounsi, the club-minded project of Tunisian-born, Denmark-based producer Sofyann Ben Youssef.

Released on Glitterbeat, Tounsi pushes the pulse forward, channeling the energy of Tunisian folk traditions through driving rhythms, bass-heavy textures, and a distinctly contemporary club sensibility. It’s music built for movement — where heritage meets the floor, and tradition gets re-wired for the present.
